Making Up Credit at PACT

A student who doesn't earn credit for a course is expected to make it up at PACT during the following school year. Some students may also have the opportunity to recover credit over the summer through Pathways to Passing, PACT's on-campus summer credit recovery program.

If Credit Can't Be Made Up at PACT

If it isn't possible to recover the credit while at PACT, a student may pursue one of the following options:

• Enroll in summer school through their home district or an online school (available after age 16).
• Attend an Alternative Learning Center (ALC) for night school.

Summer School Eligibility

To use the summer school option, a student must meet all of the following:

• Be 16 years of age or older.
• Be short on credits needed for a diploma.
• Have the coursework pre-approved by their School Counselor before enrolling.
• Have PACT receive an official transcript once the coursework is complete.

Important to Know

• PACT does not pay any fees for summer school or ALC coursework completed outside of PACT.
• Credit is awarded based on the official transcript received.
• A letter grade is required — pass/fail credit is not accepted.
