Graduation Requirements

Students must earn 25 credits across a variety of subject areas to graduate from PACT Charter School. The state and PACT's School Board set these requirements to meet Minnesota academic standards.
 

Graduation Requirements

PACT Secondary students need at least 25 credits to graduate and comply with the following high school-level course requirements:

• 4 credits in Language Arts
• 3 credits in Mathematics
• 3 credits in Science
• 3.5 credits in Social Studies
• 2 credits in World Language
• 1 credit in Arts
• 1 credit in Physical Education
• 0.5 credit in Health
• 6.5 credits (minimum) in Electives*

*Students who begin grade 9 in the 2024–2025 school year or later must also complete a personal finance course in grade 10, 11, or 12, counted within their elective credits.

Science credits

Your 3 credits must include:

• 1 credit in earth and space science
• 1 credit in life science
• 1 credit in chemistry or physics

Social studies credits

Your 3.5 credits must include U.S. history, geography, and government & citizenship — taken in grade 11 or 12, or through an approved AP, IB, or similarly rigorous government course — plus additional coursework in world history and economics.

State Testing Requirements

All students must also pass state-identified proficiency tests, including Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCAs), alternate assessments, and/or other applicable tests. Parents may opt their student out of statewide assessments by completing an opt-out form and returning it to the school office.
