Secondary families:
I am thrilled to welcome students back on campus. Some days it feels like it was a slow summer, but others, like it was over too quickly. From our standpoint in the building, we appreciate the quiet for a time, but we love when the students start trickling in for activities, then it gets better when staff returns for workshops, and finally, all is right again on the first day when all of our students are back in the building. The energy the students bring is contagious, and we cannot wait.
We will start our year with The Great Panther Kick-Off, where students will compete in advisory kickball, receive all the necessary information to start the year strong, and travel to each of their classes to connect with teachers.
Our theme this year is “Unleash the Pride,” and we have an opportunity to show our school pride in just a few weeks during Homecoming Week, which includes a pep fest, a Homecoming football game, and a high school dance on September 18! This will be our first year with Homecoming in the fall, and under the Friday night lights. Panther Stadium will be THE place to be this fall on Fridays.
Parents, we are excited to share that we will be hosting a Parent Information Night on Monday, September 1, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Families will have the opportunity to walk through their students’ schedules and hear about the learning their students will accomplish this year. We will be sharing details in the coming days, but can’t wait to spend the evening together. Some middle and high schoolers are chatty and want to share all the details of their day, but if yours isn't one of those, Parent Information Night will shed light on the experience of our 6th-12th grade students.
As always, we want to thank you for the opportunity to serve you and your family. We value your partnership and recognize that you could have enrolled your student anywhere, but you chose PACT. We thank you for trusting us and want you to know that we are committed to helping students feel seen, know they belong, and experience success.
