March 2026

Dear PACT Secondary Families:

We've had a busy month at the Secondary Campus. Here are some highlights:

Conferences

Thank you to all of our families for joining us for parent-teacher conferences. We appreciate the opportunity to connect with families and are thankful for the Spring checkpoint, which allows us to partner in ensuring students finish the year strong. Thank you to the PTO for providing dinner; our staff appreciated the support!

Online Campus Update

We also hosted an Online Campus Preview Night on February 12, welcoming prospective families and sharing PACT’s distinctive vision, including our commitment to character development and parent partnership. We are always excited to introduce who we are at PACT and ensure we are a good fit for interested families.

The enrollment lottery for our online campus was held on March 2, and we are ready to move into the next phase of planning! We have extended our online campus to 6th grade and will now serve students in 6th through 10th grade next year, with 11th and 12th grade to follow. Next steps for the Online Campus include interviewing staff who will teach in our online program and walking through the registration process for our new students' course offerings.

PACT at State Competitions

Our students have been busy this month competing at the state level!

We are incredibly proud of Fayth Lindahl for her outstanding fourth-place finish in Wrestling at State!

Our DECA team also competed at State, with much to celebrate: our team was recognized as a new state chapter, honored for our membership campaign, which reached 28 members, and fellow advisors recognized Mr. Tossey as one of the state’s outstanding advisors. We had six students compete, and one student, Heidi Schmitz, qualified for Nationals in April. Sending six students to the state in our very first year didn’t happen by accident. We are so thankful for Mr. Tossey and the hard work our DECA students have put in this year.

Our robotics teams, Metal Monstrosity and the Gear Jammers made a strong showing at state, and we have three PACT Dancers that were selected for the MADT All-State Dance Team: Heidi Schmitz, Skylar Hase, and Bria Larson.

Congratulations, Panthers!

Principal Perk-Up Recap

On February 27, we welcomed families for our Principal Perk-Up, gathering feedback as we develop our Portrait of a Graduate. Among other things, parents shared that they want their students to have integrity as people, contribute positively as citizens, and be intentional communicators. We look forward to incorporating their feedback.

As always, we are deeply grateful for our parent partners and their willingness to come alongside us in shaping our hopes for our students as they graduate from PACT.

Advisory Competition

Once a month, our advisory teams compete in the gym to earn points. We started the year with a kickball tournament and will wrap up with Field Day and Tug-o-War. This month, our students participated in mattress races. Our advisory competitions are a highlight for us and provide another opportunity for students to connect and build Panther Pride. Families can check out the video from this month here.

Warmly,

Dr. Shawn Lohse
