Every Day Counts!

When students attend school every day, they build momentum—academically, socially, and personally. With fewer school days in our calendar, it is especially important to make each one count. At PACT, we are dedicated to helping families establish strong attendance habits so every student can RISE: take responsibility, invest in their growth, and seize daily opportunities for success.

Why attendance matters: it promotes academic achievement, social and emotional development, and future success by fostering habits of responsibility and commitment.

Excused absences include health-related needs like illness, mental health treatment, and medical or dental appointments; family needs such as a serious illness, funeral, catastrophe, or pre-approved vacation; school-related reasons including field trips, school-sponsored events, or suspensions; and legal or religious commitments like holidays, instruction, American Indian cultural observances, or court appearances.

Reminders: Vacations need prior approval, missing more than 10 minutes of class counts as an absence, and excessive absences may result in truancy follow-up or unenrollment. Illness during the day must be reported to the Health Office for proper check-out.
