Employee of the Month: Doris Dockendorf

The School Board of Directors honored Doris Dockendorf, Special Education School Social Worker, as the Employee of the Month for August 2025. Her compassion and dedication to our students receiving special education services have truly made a difference in their lives and in our school community.

Doris exemplifies the PACT character traits of compassion, respect, and citizenship, and actively encourages students, families, and colleagues to do the same. Please join us in congratulating Doris. We are lucky to have her as a vital part of our school community!

Financial Health Update

The Board received an update on the end-of-year budget, showing significant progress in PACT’s financial health. The school concluded the fiscal year with 83 days of cash on hand, a notable improvement from the 23 days it had at the start of the previous fiscal year.

This gain is especially important because PACT’s bond covenant requires at least 45 days of cash on hand. PACT was previously out of compliance, which put the school at risk. Through careful financial management, wise decision-making, and a focus on long-term sustainability, the administration has successfully restored the school's compliance and stability.

Community Education Update

Adam Schaak, Community Education Coordinator, shared an update on the launch of our new Community Education program. He emphasized that more than 100 students are enrolled in Quarter 1 offerings, which include various enrichment opportunities designed to extend learning and foster connections outside the traditional classroom setting.

The program has been popular among students and families, with high participation in both academic and interest-based courses. Mr. Schaak also mentioned that staff are already exploring ways to expand opportunities in the upcoming quarters to accommodate the growing interests of students across different grade levels.

The Board appreciated the positive start of this initiative and the efforts to ensure PACT students have access to engaging, high-quality enrichment experiences. To learn more about Community Education at PACT, visit the PACT website.
