If you have a true thirst for challenge and accomplishment, membership in the National Honor Society (NHS) may be an ideal fit for you! Through exclusive resources, programs, and services, members have a unique opportunity to prepare for college and career pursuits. Membership truly lays the groundwork for lifelong success.
Eligible Grades: PACT students in grades 10-12.
Selection Criteria:
- To be eligible for membership, the candidate must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 (on a 4.0 scale).
- To be eligible for NHS membership, the candidate must be a member of the sophomore, junior, or senior classes.
- Candidates must have attended the PACT for at least one full semester prior to application.
- All candidates will be assessed on their service, leadership, and character.
Lettering Requirements:
- To earn a letter in the National Honor Society (NHS) students must be an active NHS member for at least one school year/two consecutive semesters.
- Requirements for meeting standards for letter achievement are as follows:
- Members must maintain a GPA of 3.6 or higher.
- Members must attend all meetings with no unexcused absences. Absences will be considered unexcused unless approved by the Chapter Advisor.
- Members must attend all group service projects each school year and complete a minimum of 30 individual service hours per school year. Members must have paid yearly dues.
